Great Bend, KS --> McPherson, KS

Our past week had been exhausting, full of long days on the bike following our not-so-restful rest day hike in Boulder, and I was more than ready for my driving day. Groceries and gas in the morning, then sweet sweet power naps while the riders filled up on food and water during breaks. We arrived in McPherson, Kansas midafternoon, and got to explore the beautiful property complete with a horse stable, a pool, and a sprawling field interrupted only by a pond. I took advantage of my free time to take a 2 hour nap, then called family and read my book by the pond before a gorgeous homemade dinner from our hosts Peg and Scott. A textbook, much needed recovery day!
