Hi, I'm Alex! Today, we arrived in Sacramento from Dixon, biking a whopping 27 miles. Because we had so much free time, we worked most of the day on our lesson plans (see curriculum for more!). We're all stoked to see kids and teach them the wise things that Stanford students know (hint: it's 42).
Since it was a short ride, we only had two cities between us: Davis and West Sacramento. Davis was such a friendly town, and extremely likable. We stopped shortly to see some aggies:
After another hour (and biking through some wonderful sunflowers), we arrived at the footsteps of the California capitol:
And now we're sitting around, finishing dinner and enjoying our free time. As well as working on our lesson plans, some of us are organizing housing, foam rolling, writing letters, and doodling. Because Brad's family is so friendly, we are doing this in the comfort of his sister's apartment! Hopefully, we'll get to explore Sac in a bit.
Tomorrow, we're heading to Plymouth, California. See you then!
P.S. We did go swimming in the Sacramento River (@Brad's mom)
