Today, I woke up thinking I was in a sauna, after leaving the rain fly on and the beating sun heating up the tent to an unbearable temperature. However, I was excited to get moving on our rest day to see Arches and Moab! From Thompson Springs, we drove the 40 minutes through beautiful Utah canyons to the enterance of Arches. There, we ascended up the cliff side and into the park, stopping first at balancing rock to appreciate the rocks!
Moving along the road at Arches, we arrived to Devils Garden where we did the hike to landscape arch and another arch along the way!
With the scorching temperatures, we were tempted to call it a day at this point, but we wanted to see the delicate arch, a 3 hour hike at a different place in the park. We did it though, and it was totally worth it! The delicate arch is one of the most stunning pieces of nature I’ve seen in person.
Leaving Arches, we went into Moab for dinner and ate at a diner where I got a burger and milkshake.
Post-dinner, we wanted to go to a gear trade and so we found one and pursued the selection, trying on many items and having a great time.
[the pics won’t upload sowwy, maybe I’ll try again later]
We ended having so much fun at the gear trade place we stayed until closing, and then came back to camp and fell fast asleep, with the thought of Colorado looming in our minds.
